Enabling the Distributed Family Tree

This is the official research blog for the Distributed Family Tree, an open network of genealogical data and metadata.  In a nutshell, the big idea is that we can combine all available genealogical information on the Internet into a single distributed network.  The foundation for this network is the substance of the Master's Thesis that I am currently working on.

Still Not Finished With Documentation

Well, I didn’t get the documentation done in time for the weekend, but I’m close.  I was able to get platform builds to happen a lot faster though; they now take on the order of 1-2 minutes (contrasted with 10-30 minutes!).

It also seems that the file size limit for posting downloads on Google Code has mysteriously doubled from 10 to 20 MB.  This means I’ll be able to post downloads on the project’s Google Code website in the future (as the base size of Genesis is currently around 15 MB).
